I got an email from Victoria Dobbs. I will be spinning the single “Winter Lullaby” from Imaginary Expedition the second week of April 2026 on the show. Here is a Bandcamp link to the song.
Hi Jamie/Gunner,
My name is Victoria from Imaginary Expedition, an indie folk duo in Toronto. I’m writing to share “Winter Lullaby,” a single from our upcoming 2-song EP. The digital release is April 10, and I’ve included early download links. If you think it’s a good fit, a spin on your Wed Apr 8 CFMU or Fri Apr 10 INDI shows would be especially helpful (though no need to wait if you’d like to play it sooner). Thank you for the time and care you put into sharing music with your listeners.
We’re a classically informed, contemporary folk duo of songwriters and sweethearts Victoria Dobbs and Glyph Greenleaf. Timeless, close-harmony folk with a chamber music sensibility, Imaginary Expedition stirs the heart and sparks the mind.
Imaginary Expedition – Winter Lullaby + The Ones Who Are Gone
Winter Lullaby + The Ones Who Are Gone is a two-song EP (or “double single”) that explores different ways people carry the memories of those they’ve lost. The songs feature close vocal harmony with contrapuntal melodies woven between all three instruments (both voices and the classical guitar).Bio:
Imaginary Expedition is a contemporary folk duo made up of Victoria Dobbs and Glyph Greenleaf, life partners who live and write songs together in Toronto. The name Imaginary Expedition comes from the experience their music evokes. Each song leads listeners on a journey through their own imaginations. Their first two-song EP, Winter Lullaby + The Ones Who Are Gone, captures a sound they’ve been developing since they began performing together in 2024.
The project brings together two distinct musical paths: Glyph’s training in composition, classical piano, and early music, and Victoria’s background in pop-rock songwriting. Their songs are shaped through a shared process of exploration, each part written and reworked until they both love it. The sound created is something neither would have reached on their own. It’s narrative-driven, close-harmony folk with classical sensibility at its core.
The duo plans to tour in Ontario (including Hamilton), then onward throughout Canada, with a series of intimate and un-amplified shows.
