This song is all about embracing mortality, and coming to terms with the fact that change is the only real constant we have in life and that all things we love will slowly shift or go away.

But they’re not gone forever, they just change. I have had a lot of loss in my life, between my two grandmothers and my cat nibbler, I still struggle to make sense of it and find some peace, but just because they’re gone doesn’t mean they don’t affect my life. They’re still here in a different way and guide me each and every day.

The song sounds very sad, but in reality it’s probably the most upbeat one I’ve ever made. It’s funny how these things work out! The only way you get a Sean Bienhaus song this upbeat is if it’s masking some real sad stuff I guess. I hope you enjoy!
