BIO
Featuring Rémi Jacques on drums and Aude Deniger on bass and vocals and led by frontman and guitarist Constantin Blondy, General Chaos have been active on the Montreal punk scene since 2022, when, at just 12 years old, they played their first Pouzza Fest.
Quickly gaining support from the local scene, the trio began touring across Québec and Ontario, playing all-ages venues and occasionally sneaking into bars. They’ve shared stages with Propagandhi, Vulgaires Machins, and Apes of the State, building a reputation for high-energy performances and politically aware songwriting.
At 15, they released their debut album Outta My Way, self-produced and self-financed, recorded and mixed by Ryan Battistuzzi (Malajube, Les Shirley, Yesterday’s Ring, NoBro). Encouraged by encounters with Mike Ness of Social Distortion and members of Descendents and NOFX, the band refined their sound and expanded into festival stages, where their angst-driven lyrics and Rancid-influenced riffs attracted coverage from La Presse, Radio-Canada, and Toronto’s 94.9 The Rock.
Despite having never seen them perform live, Montreal’s Stomp Records signed General Chaos for their second album, Can’t Please ’Em All — a record that captures a band growing sharper, louder, and more fearless with every release.
