“This song is kind of a companion piece to the first single ‘Take It All'” says band leader and lead vocalist Manfred Sttimann. “Normally, I am not big on nostalgia for nostalgia’s sake especially given the overall seriousness of things (as evidenced by most of the other lyrics on the record), but this is a little bit of a Remember When kind of vibe when you could worry about inane kid-stuff like crushes and cliques and not the more dire existentialism of today. I went a little metaphor heavy as well with the halfway houses and ambulances obviously representing wanting to flee the physical traps and emotional damages we face as we get older.”
