I’m releasing the third edition my annual compilation – Go Kick-Ass! 3 on September 12 featuring previously unreleased tracks from 42 bands and ten release shows over one big weekend. There’s a handful of Hamilton bands featured on the collection. (Lucid Smog Disorder, Terrible and the Horribles, Alert The Audience, Lip Crunch, Motion Sickness) and a release show September 13 at Ooey Gooey’s featuring Lucid Smog Disorder, The Supervoids and Lip Crunch.

Go Kick-Ass! is Cartridge Heart’s carefully-curated, region-spanning, annual compilation. The
2025 edition is a massive double-disc set. It features all-new songs from 40 bands from southern
Ontario plus one from Montreal and one from Australia.

Great care was taken in putting this collection together. Bands were solicited to submit
unreleased material. Some are premiering singles ahead of their fall releases, some have
unearthed material from the vault and some have sent in brand new tracks recorded exclusively
for Go Kick-Ass! 3.

Go Kick-Ass! 3 comes from a love for physical media, an appreciation of the art of preparing
mix CDs and years of being entrenched in independent music.
Release day is September 12 with release shows planned over the weekend in Hamilton,
Kitchener, London, Newmarket, Niagara Falls, Oshawa, Tillsonburg and Toronto.
