This And That Jennifer Foster single ‘Shy”

Cam sent over the new single from Jennifer Foster. Spinning it the first week of March 2026 on the SCM radio show.

Hi Gunner

Hope all is well and thanks as always for the Steel City Music support.

For some this is your introduction to Juno nominated Canadian artist Jennifer Foster and to others it will be a warm welcome back to her music.

She has no shortage of fans and in the past has worked with such artists as Kevin Hearn (Barenaked Ladies), Carole Pope (Rough Trade), Lori Cullen, Moe Berg (Jennifer was actually a member of The Pursuit Of Happiness for a spell) and Ron Sexsmith who has this to say about her upcoming album “Powerline” (April 3, 2026).

“Jennifer Foster’s new album ‘Powerline’ is a wonderful collection of songs.
No shortage of sweet melodies or intimate lyrics, and all sung
in a voice that is lovely and  unpretentious.”

Your introduction to “Powerline” is the first single “Shy”.

Jennifer talks about the song.

“This single ‘Shy’ is part of an album  (“Powerline”) that’s deeply personal, and inspired by the place I grew up. It’s an expression of love and regret, and how we can sometimes wish we could show up for others, or ourselves, in a better way. It’s about hoping for another chance to get it right.”

Hope you enjoy and, if you are in the Toronto area, please pencil in

Wednesday April 1 for an early evening Jennifer Foster showcase

at The Rivoli.

Thanks
