It has been a year since Sarah and I last chatted. Sarah catches us up on what’s happening with the band; a line up change with a new name.

Interview with Neil Haverty

It was great to catch up with Neil Haverty! Neil Haverty was a mainstay in the Hamilton Music Scene in the mid 2000’s. Then poof like Keyser Sozay he disappeared on me! Neil fills us in one what he has been doing musically;the return to live music and a rejuvination to putting out his own music again.

“Neil Haverty is a Hamilton-born vocalist and songwriter, co-founder of secular gospel ensemble Bruce Peninsula and a busy screen composer (Wildhood, Sleeping Giant).”

“Haverty has upholstered a Time gun to help create live versions of his new songs, which have started dropping in 2025.
Timegun is both a blaster that shoots pure time and the name-sake of a new local rock outfit featuring members of the Deviance, Dark Mean, Bruce Peninsula, the Acoustics, Flattstreet, Twin Within, High Kites, and Skiffs.”

“Oct 22’s line-up will include Steven McKay, Andy Richardson, Martin Eckart, Billy Holmes, Andrew Eckart and Simon Gill. The septet have played music together in some capacity since 9th grade.”
