Polaris Shortlister Kelly McMichael (NFLD) and band are touring through Ontario, with opening sets by Gareth Inkster and John Moran

Kelly McMichael (from Peterborough ON, based in St. John’s NFLD), is known for her commanding vocals and versatile songwriting. Kelly's debut LP 'Waves' made the 2022 Polaris Prize Shortlist. It was recorded in St John’s NL with co-producer/ engineer/ drummer/ inventor Jake Nicoll (The Burning Hell). As a multi-instrumentalist and vocal chameleon Kelly’s skills in studio and on the road have been shared with Sarah Harmer, Rouge, Regina Gently, Gentleman Reg, The Burning Hell, Allie X The Hidden Cameras and more. At a live show, Kelly delivers a great performance with unique side players (John Moran, Geordie Dynes and Claire Whitehead) who capture the joy of rock and roll together.
Kelly's performance at the Polaris Gala was described as "Showstopping" by Spill Magazine. Her and the band are very excited to make up these dates that had to be cancelled back in November, and they will have some new tunes to share.
