Catch renowned American troubadour, David Dondero, making a rare stop in Canada. Not to be missed.

DAVID DONDERO ~
Dondero has been touring for thirty years and his music has taken him around the world multiple times.

His style and ongoing narratives are hard to fit into a particular genre. Dondero’s influenced by the angst of Black Flag, the wanderlust of Bruce Springsteen, the sentimentality of Paul Simon and the politics of Woody Guthrie.

He’s shared bills and tours with Pedro the Lion, The Mountain Goats, Darren Hanlon, Daniel Johnston and Against Me! In 2006 the U.S. National Public Radio (NPR) put David on their list of the "top-ten greatest living songwriters" alongside Dylan and Tom Waits.

Aside from multiple years at SXSW, he was invited by Mudhoney as a featured artist at "All Tomorrow’s Parties" in Rye, England. God Speed You Black Emperor brought him to The Sled Island Festival in Calgary. And he played the Bellow Winter Music Festival in Australia under the recommendation of songwriter Darren Hanlon.

Dondero has recorded ten albums and his 11th is slated to come out on Fluff and Gravy Records in Summer of '23. Recorded in Portland at Fluff and Gravy Studio. Dondero calls Portland, Santa Cruz and Pensacola home and is about to publish his first novel.

BRYCE CLIFFORD ~

Clifford fronts his new band, "Brother Superior" in Hamilton, Ontario (Canada) serving up his brand of melodic indie-rock, with "rueful and acerbic lyrics and bar room scarred vocals" (NOW Magazine)

These musicians bring with them influences of blue-grass, classical, honky-tonk, old school soul… name it - you might hear it. That said, a 'Bryce Clifford & Brother Superior' set is dominated with driving melodic rock songs that get stuck in your head, are played with joy, and have a touch of nostalgia that feels right and hits home. You’ll be surprised by the unexpected directions it will take you and musical pictures it paints, often filled with dark texts.

Bryce has released two albums, three Eps, and his music has been featured on MTV, CBS, The Syfy Channel, Bravo Canada, The CW, and renowned indie-film "Here We Are".

Clifford bounces between Hamilton Ontario Canada and Austin Texas, his creative feet planted in two artistically inspiring cities on both sides of the border.

HIs sets flow between melodic indie-rock, downtempo piano balladry, alt-country, and echoes of revved up post-punk. It’s apparent that Bryce continues to make his musical landscape borderless in style, yet always heavily focused on ‘the song’.

ERIKA WERRY ~
Erika writes songs about life and love. Often short and fun, with tongue-in-cheek lyrical humour, her songs can also be devastatingly poignant, delivered with her signature vocals in a "... lovely... grainy alto".

"Some singers have the ability to reach your soul with only one sung syllable, and for that instant you swear you understand all of their hopes and fears, while your own become increasingly clear for what feels like the first time." NOW Magazine

"I dig Erika's grainy alto, her in-and-out-of-pespective songs, delivered with expression. An observant poet, a cliche distorter, a fearless traveller, a band leader - Miss Werry is all of the above, and a competent guitar strummer to boot..." Mary Beth Carty, Penguin Eggs

Erika has a background in classical and modern dance, with many dance performances to her name before she ever picked up a guitar to turn her poems into songs.

Erika Werry has released 5 albums of original music. Her highly regarded first two records, Nothing Clearer Comes (2004) and Time on our Hands (2006) received four and three-star reviews in Toronto NOW and Eye weekly magazines.

Her sophomore disc featured various guest players, including James Robertson (New Country Rehab), Bryden Baird (Blue Rodeo, Feist), and one of Canada's most in-demand session musicians, Christine Bougie.

Erika's latest release, Think yer so Smart, was recorded live at Blue Rodeo's studio in the summer of 2012, featuring Ian Blurton (C'mon, Change of Heart), and Tim Vesely (Rheostatics).

Erika Werry played and toured as a member of John Tielli's Metal Kites and Christine Duncan's Element Choir. She's shared the stage with Woodstock legend Richie Havens and Mary Margaret O'Hara, and played live feature interviews on Denver, Colorado's 99.5 FM, as well as numerous spots on Toronto college radio and broadcast television.
