I recently took my time on a drive from Hamilton to Manitoulin, stopping at a few scenic spots along the highway and recording a live performance at each. This song was recorded on a little shelf of Canadian Shield just visible from the highway at Gibson River. I had to park a ways down the road, as there was a guard rail and too narrow a shoulder to park on. It took a little while to scout out a route to the spot and then bring my gear down to it, but I’m very happy with the result, and it was a very nice place to sit for a while. This song is as yet unreleased, and perhaps unfinished, but here it is in its current form. I’ll be compiling the songs into an EP with a few little narrated bits from along the drive as well, so follow along for when that is released.
