SUPERCRAWL PRESENTS AYSANABEE WITH GUEST SEMIAH – LIVE AT BRIDGEWORKS!

Join two-time JUNO Award-winning Oji-Cree artist Aysanabee  (pronounced ACE-in-abbey) on his first-ever headlining tour, The Way We’re Born Tour, supporting the upcoming June 20, 2025 release of his sophomore album Edge Of The Earth. Following two incredible Canadian support tours with Allison Russell and Dan Mangan, this spring’s Eastern Canadian tour, as well as countless global festival appearances, it is now time for Aysanabee to take center stage and share his powerful music — including the radio hit singles “Nomads,” “We Were Here,” “Somebody Else,” and his newest radiocharting single “Edge Of The Earth” — along with his engaging storytelling. The alternative indie artist, of Sucker Clan from the Sandy Lake First Nation, a remote fly-in community in Northwestern Ontario, Canada, now calls Toronto home. He began making music under his mother’s maiden name when moments of stillness allowed him to slow down and create music that truly represented him as an artist. He’s been compared to Hozier and Kings of Leon, among others. In March 2024, Aysanabee made history as the first Indigenous artist to win theJUNO Awards for Alternative Album of the Year and the coveted Songwriter of the Year for his EP Here and Now. His debut album, Watin (Nov 2022), named after his grandfather, combined music and journalism with artistry and expression and was shortlisted for the 2023 Polaris Music Prize. Since 2021, he has performed over 300 shows across Canada and globally, including tours abroad with Kim Churchill (AU) and Skye Wallace (IT), and international festivals Reeperbahn (DE), The Great Escape (UK), SXSW Sydney (AU), Tallinn Music Week (ES), and AmericanaFestUK (GB).

“Aysanabee offered stories behind the selections of his heartfelt tales to the point where the audience didn’t want him to leave the stage.”—Toronto Star

“His guitarwork was ridiculously brilliant. If you ever get a chance to see him, please do.”-Montreal Rocks

Named “Artist to Watch” by SheBOPS Zine (USA) in 2024, Semiah is more than delivering on that claim in 2025 – earning a DORA Award for Outstanding Composer, premiering her directorial debut music video at Finland’s renowned Skábmagovat Film Festival, rocking a successful Canadian west coast tour, receiving a scholarship for Canada’s Music Incubator and invited support act for Aysanabee and Jully Black. Hailing from Six Nations and based in Toronto, Semiah has called the stage home since age 5. Whether an intimate club or an outdoor festival, she’s a playful dervish who disrupts expectations and weaves webs that elicit swoons and encores. Semiah’s sonic signature bridges the two worlds she naturally inhabits: her electrified, synth-laced hyperpop channels her urban party-gurl spirit, while her twang-tinged acoustic ballads reveal her tender interior shaped by an early connection to the bush and country music classics. These worlds are bound together by Semiah’s unmistakable alpine vocal tone. It glitters with subtle Haudenosaunee embellishments and aches with a confessional style delivery on lyrics about love, fear, recklessness and resilience. 2025 sophomore EP LVR GRL releases in three episodes: Episode 1, “Clementine”, is inspired by Kate Winslet’s character in Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. The track features an insistent vocal delivery over a blistering soundtrack that fans of ThxSoMch, WILLOW & Crystal Castles will love. Since its August 2025 release, “Clementine” been playlisted on national radio CBC, Sirius XM, The Journey FM, Apple Music and named Song of The Week by !earshot digital distribution. The official video directed by Semiah, includes visual nods to the film and will be spotlighted in a nationally aired APTN “making of” feature.  In episode 2, “Nothing At All,” our LVR GRL is in the ruminating phase of replaying the past with a present day numbness; beginning to admit to being a foolish believer. The mood is perfectly captured in a sonic landscape reminiscent of The Smiths. The official music video tells the story with exuberant dance choreography by Semiah and was filmed in Toronto’s underground club scene. The finale episode, “DED 2 ME”, is a stadium-worthy chant over intimate acoustic production. Raw defiance declares that memory erasure is complete. Releases October 17, 2025 with an unflinchingly direct video dropping a week later. Semiah directs, produces and choreographs her videos, including 2024’s ‘Withdrawals’ single that features a Katana sword fight and powerpuff characters pouncing in the snowy Alberta mountains like an Indigenous Charlie’s Angels. Song co-produced with Montreal’s Teleh0rn. Semiah’s debut single “Nothing Can Kill My Love for You” garnered over 100,000 streams, and tracks from debut EP After The Night Ends continue to be featured on CBC radio programs Here & Now, AfterDark and Drive with Rich Terfry. Alongside her music, Semiah is an innovative visual artist, crafting original wardrobe and handcrafted merch — all of which bring her song themes to life as tangible art.
