Piner (Claya Way Brackenbury) is a singer-songwriter based in Katarokwi (Kingston,ON) who steps into the stories of others and connects listeners with all the complexities of the greater human experience. Piner’s latest album, A Netherworld, recorded at Joel Plaskett’s Studio in Dartmouth, NS, is a project of hope and yearning, during fractured, challenging times. Piner creates a world of connection, care, and change through her songwriting and direct action for charitable initiatives. In A Netherworld, Piner continues to dream of a way forward, to see a new world built from compassion, contemplation and collective care. Piner brought attention and organized events to create care and community for healthcare professionals, raised donations for the Mi’kma’ki Water Walk in NS, worked with the Mutual Aid Garden Network in Kingston to address food insecurity, and raised awareness about the current national housing crisis. After the release of A Netherworld, Piner toured opening for and sharing festivals/show bills with Georgia Harmer, Terra Lightfoot, Charlotte Cornfield, Crash Test Dummies, Skye Wallace, Mo Kenney and more. In 2025, Piner was selected for the prestigious Winnipeg Folk Festival Young Performers Program.

Finbar Wall is a singer-songwriter from Hamilton, Ont, known primarily as founder and frontman of the folk-rock band, The Commune. As a solo artist and student of political philosophy he strives to follow the folk traditions of Woody Guthrie, Odetta, Joe Strummer and Billy Bragg. He is joined by Thomas Carli and Bill Kilbride, the rhythm section behind Toronto’s acclaimed indie pop band Meteor Heist. The first release from this outfit is set to be released in 2026 with producer Aaron Goldstein at the helm.

Irresponsible Purchase is a five-piece indie rock band based out of Toronto, Ontario. They’ve been writing and performing original music around Southern Ontario since 2021, building an infectious energy and vibrant stage presence. Hamilton radio station CFMU recently described their sound as “the type of songs that sound best live, where the band can play off the energy of the crowd”
